Pitch, Please!
Five Roster Members will have the chance to pitch a scripted series at our event during IFP Film Week (September 17 - 22, 2016) to an esteemed panel of judges, including Empire creator and award-winning filmmaker LEE DANIELS .
WHO CAN ENTER
The contest is open to Roster members only. You will be automatically added to The Roster upon submission. There is no entry fee to submit a video pitch.
WHEN IS THE CONTEST?
Contest entries will be accepted through September 6th
25 semi-finalists announced on Monday, September 12th
5 finalists announced prior to IFP Film Week
Finalists to live pitch their idea as part of The Roster’s IFP Film Week event
GENERAL
One entry per person
Must be a member of The Roster to participate
Must be 18 years of age or older to enter
Entrant must live, work or go to school in New York metropolitan area
By submitting an entry into Pitch, Please! contest, entrant agrees to let Ghetto Film School/The Roster use their video for promotional purposes
Roster members chosen as semi-finalists or finalists must provide their own means of transportation to IFP Film Week (Sept. 17 - 22) and The Roster’s IFP Film Week event
Participation in Pitch, Please! contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules
PRIZES
Twenty-five semi-finalists receive:
An All Access Pass to attend the IFP "Screen Forward" Conference during IFP Film Week
Five finalists receive:
Name on all printed materials during IFP Film Week
Spotlight feature in Roster newsletter during the month of September
Key introductions and promotion during IFP Film Week
Grand prize winner receives:
Personalized feedback from our final panel of influential filmmakers and television executives, including LEE DANIELS
