LA Benefit Honoring James Murdoch and Tony Brown

October 8, 2016

Tony Brown, executive director of community youth organization Heart of Los Angeles; Joe Hall, Ghetto Film School founder and president; and James Murdoch, 21st Century Fox CEO and GFS board member.

On October 6th 2016 at the home of Brian and Veronica Grazer, we were proud to honor GFS Board Director James Murdoch  and Tony Brown, Executive Director of our nonprofit partner Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) at our first-ever fundraiser in Los Angeles.

The event raised critical funds for our LA-based programming, and awareness through press coverage including Vanity Fair article and a Medium article by former NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment commissioner Katherine Oliver outlining the unique role GFS plays in the industry's diversity & inclusion space.

Thank you to all our event donors and special thanks to:

Honorary Co-Chairs Peter Chernin, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, David O. Russell
