Stephen Brown

Chief Development Officer

Stephen Brown is an experienced development professional and producer, originally from England, UK. He joined Ghetto Film School in May 2023 as Chief Development Officer, based in New York.        

Stephen is the former Global Vice President and Executive Producer at Global Citizen, overseeing their development strategy. Alongside leading the organization's development and partnerships team, he has produced more than 20 global TV music festivals and TV specials for Global Citizen.  He has over 15 years of experience working with the world’s biggest brands and media companies. Stephen’s proudest moments include producing Mandela 100 in Johannesburg - the 100th Birthday Celebration of Nelson Mandela with Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, and One World: Together at Home for NBC, CBS, ABS, and the BBC with Lady Gaga. 

Before joining GFS, Stephen consulted for a number of private and not-for-profit organizations, including SoulCycle, The Archewell Foundation, Target, Invisible Hand, Penny Appeal, Instagram, and The Power of Nutrition. 

Stephen has received a number of awards for his work, including a British Third Sector Award, x2 Shorty Awards, and a Webby Award for his work on One World: Together at Home.
