“GFS has been an integral part of the success I’ve achieved so far in my career. ROSTER has always given me opportunities to achieve my goals, by recommending me for jobs, introducing me to industry players, and by fostering a community among young artists. The road ahead is paved with obstacles, but having ROSTER in my corner gives me the confidence I need.”

— Luis Santos, Writer, Director / ROSTER Member

“ROSTER has allowed me to have conversations and make connections with industry professionals, and explore future career goals and opportunities with them. The network of emerging filmmakers and artists that ROSTER brings together through industry events and screenings that we can attend is irreplaceable and has provided me with so many other opportunities.”

— Elisabeth Viel, Writer, Director / ROSTER Member

“Through ROSTER, I’ve been connected to incredible opportunities that have helped me grow as a writer, director, and visual artist… What ROSTER does best is advocate for its members. Emerging artists like myself depend on programs like ROSTER to develop the resources and relationships needed to make independent films.”

-Kristy Choi, Writer, Director / ROSTER Member

— Alexi Gonzalez, Writer, Director / ROSTER Member

“ROSTER is a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with amazing filmmakers. Filmmakers that push you creatively and bring different perspectives that you didn’t live. These connections and dealings have gotten me to see the film world in ways I’ve never thought possible.”

-Daquan Saxton, Producer, Director / ROSTER Member

“After nearly six years being a part of Ghetto Film School, as a Fellow, ROSTER member, and now producer, it’s clear to me that the organization’s dedication to artistic growth and forming meaningful bonds is at the forefront of any GFS endeavor. The key to any artist’s success is finding their tribe and feeling home amongst them, and I’m proud to say that I’ve found my tribe and family at Ghetto Film School.”
